BIOGRAPHY
Stef Heidhues (b. 1975 Washington D.C. USA) received her MFA from University of Fine Arts in Hamburg in 2005. She also studied at Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Lyon in 2003 and at FH Düsseldorf, where she completed Communications Studies in 1999. In 2005, she was a recipient of the Ditze Scholarship, and in 2012/13 of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation. She receveived a project grant of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (2015/16) and completed a residency at CCA Andratx, Mallorca, 2016. 
Selected intitutional solo exhibitions include 'Minor Frequencies' (2012), Parrotta Contemporary Art, Stuttgart, 'Yes Sir No Sir' (2012), KV Springhornhof, Neuenkirchen, 'Trespassers Only' (2013), Rudolf-Scharpf Galerie, Wilhelm-Hack Museum, Ludwigshafen. Selected solo presentations at galleries and off-spaces include a curated presentation at Artissima, Turin, by Aurélie Voltz, germankunst and Grunert Gallery in Hamburg (2008), 'Between Here And Now' (2015), Galerie Marion Scharmann, 'Space Takers Space Makers' (2016), Nationalmuseum, Berlin and 'Brake Baby' (2016), Tacho, Berlin. Selected group exhibitions include Artnews projects in Berlin, Kunsthaus in Hamburg and Art Basel Miami Beach with Galerie Nomadenoase. 
Her work can be found in the collection of the German Federal Collection of Contemporary Art, Philara collection, Düsseldorf and Collection Goldschmidt, Brussels, among others.
