His work is known to often involve myth and Freudian subconscious, but recently also political and social issues. His paintings and drawings leave the viewer with a sense of skeptic urgency, as everything, if depicted, seems to be out of place. Braun´s choices of dark combinations of color and their psychedelic or hazy applications also add to the ability of his paintings and drawings to promote uneasy feelings in the viewer. Braun has experimented with numerous different materials, and although he has a specific style, the themes of his paintings and drawings vary to include human and animal figurativeness, but also abstract topics.
