Alejandro Pintado

Born the 1st of August 1973 in Mexico City lives in London, UK.  In 1993  studies his Bachelor in Fine Art at La Esmeralda, National School of Painting Mexico city. In 2000 studies his Masters in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, University of London. In the summer of 2007 he attends Skowhegan School of Painting and later that same year he was honored with the Pollock grant from the Pollock Krasner Foundation, New York. His work has been shown internationally in museums and galleries in London, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Atlanta, Miami and nationally in main venues across Mexico. Between his solo shows they stand: Tranquil and  anxious, (2006) O Gallery, Mexico City, Trying to Omit the Irrelevant, (2005) Museum of City of Queretaro, and Emma Molina Gallery, Monterrey, Recent work ,(1999) Vaknin Schwartz Gallery, Atlanta, USA,  Anonymous, (1998) Chopo Museum, Mexico City. 2010, Pollock Krasner Grant 2007, Fonca, Cultural Proyects (2005), Painting Price, XVIII Young Art National Encounter, (1998), Padid fellowship, National Center of the arts, Mexico. This last October he had a solo show on the Sonora Art Museum MUSAS in Hermosillo, Sonora. On the summer of 2011 he was invited by Pablo Leon de la Barra to participate on the Art Projects of the Pinta art fair in London. On February He had a solo show at Arroniz Arte contemporáneo, Mexico City. At the moment he is preparing an exhibition in the San Carlos Museum of art in Mexico city.
