Ellen Harvey (b. 1967 Kent, England) attended the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Independent Study Program in New York in 1999. She is also a graduate of Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut (1993), Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts (1989), and studied at Hochschule der Künste, Berlin, Germany (1990). Selected solo exhibitions include Empty Collections, Meessen De Clerq Gallery, Brussels, Belgium (2009). Beautiful Ruin, curated by Ika Sienkiewsz-Nowaska, Center for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw, Poland (2009), The Museum of Failure, Luxe Gallery, New York, NY (2007). Selected group exhibitions and art fairs include Alive, Luxe Gallery, New York, NY. (2009), Art Basel (Galerie Gebruder Lehmann), Basel, Switzerland (2008), Armory Art Fair (Galerie Gebruder Lehmann), New York, NY (2008), Whitney Biennial 2008 curated by Shamim Momin & Henriette Huldisch, Whitney Museum & Park Avenue Armory, New York, NY (2008).
