BIOGRAPHY

Patrick Nickell (b. 1960 Van Nuys, California) received an MFA from Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, California, in 1985, and a BA from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, in 1983. Selected solo exhibitions include Rosamund Felsen Gallery in Santa Monica, California (2006); College of Creative Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California (2005); ACME in Los Angeles (2004); Patrick Nickell: Built for Speed, A Sculpture Survey at Luckman Fine Arts Gallery at California State University in Los Angeles, Nora  Harrison Museum at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, and the Art Gallery of the University of Texas San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas (2003-2005); and Gallery 2211/SolwayJones Gallery in Los Angeles (2002). Selected group exhibitions include On The Wall at Eagle Rock Cultural Center in Los Angeles (2006); Reality is an activity of the most august imagination at Rental Gallery in Los Angeles (2006); Obstractivist at Hales Gallery London (2004); Dust Gallery in Las Vegas (2004); and LAPD at Rosamund Felsen Gallery in Santa Monica, California (2003).
