BIOGRAPHY
Winner Jumalon is known for his portraiture that recreates personalities and realities with surreal and multilayered narratives. His works blur memory and history to express an inner curiosity into the human psyche's weaknesses and strengths. 
 
Winner Jumalon (b. 1983) received his Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the University of the Philippines in 2004, after four years of preparatory schooling at the prestigious Philippine High School for the Arts at Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, where he was awarded the Outstanding Artist Award. His most recent solo exhibitions include Recent Find, Manila Contemporary, Philippines, 2012; One in Mind, West Gallery/Ayala Museum, Philippines, 2012; Equilibrium, Bencab Museum, Philippines, 2011; A Part, Pinto Art Gallery, Philippines, 2010 and Destroyed Images, Ark Gallery, Jakarta, Indonesia, 2007. He has received and been nominated for numerous awards including the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Thirteen Artists’ Award in 2009 and the Philip Morris Art Awards Top 50 Finalists, 2003; and Juror’s Choice, 2005. 
Jumalon lives and works in Manila, Philippines.
