BIOGRAPHY
Catalina
Bauer, born 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied Fine Arts in
the Universidad Finis Terrae in Santiago, Chile and obtained her
bachelor´s degree. After which she attended the Universidad de
Chile in pursuit of a masters in Fine Art.
Bauer
currently lives and works in Santiago de Chile. In 2009,
along with four other Chilean Artists, she developed Taller BLOC,
an artist-run space that has an extremely successful Tutorial
Program. Bauer has been part of many international projects and
exhibitions.Bauer has also participated in an Artist Residency at
Gasworks, London in 2011, obtaining the AMA Grant, and in 2012 she
was invited to develop a project with the Participation Programme
of the same institution. In October of 2014 she is scheduled tp do
a six month residency at the Leipzig International Art Programm, in
Leipzig, Germany.

exhibitions include "Material Ligero", an itinerant project of
exchange with the BLOC group: Margarette Lawrence Gallery,
Melbourne, Australia in 2009 and AMA Museum, Washington DC, USA in
2011. “Techtonic Shift, Contemporary Art from Chile, from The Juan
Yarur Collection”; Phillips de Pury &Company, Howick Place,
London, U.K.. “Rewriting world”, IV Biennale of Contemporary Art in
