Irene Weingartner (b.1971 Nottwil, Switzerland) studied Fine Art in Lucerne, Berlin and received the MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design London, in 2001.
After dealing for quite a while with moving images, Irene Weingartner began to specialise in drawing and started to develop a system called "Seismographic Recordings" originating from the body and the environment. Further more she works on various series such as "Chemical Compound", "Text Drawings" and "Recording of a possible Landscape".
