BIOGRAPHY

Jeanne Dunning (b. 1960 Granby, Connecticut) received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1985 and a BA from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, in 1982.

Selected solo exhibitions include Donald Young Gallery, Chicago, Inova, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2011); Jeanne Dunning: Tomato Fight at Gallery 400 in Chicago (2006); Jeanne Dunning: Study after Untitled at the Berkeley Art Museum in Berkeley, California, and the Cultural Center in Chicago (2006); and Making Boys and Girls at the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois (2006).

Dunning's most recent group exhibitions to date in 2013 are: Think First, Shoot Later, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Des images comme des oiseaux, Centre national des arts plastiques. Paris. Catalogue; Still Life/Real Life, Durant Art Institute, Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois and MCA DNA: Chicago Conceptual Abstraction 1986-1995, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

 She is represented by Kinz, Tillou + Feigen in New York and the James Harris Gallery in Seattle. Jeanne Dunning lives and works in Chicago.
